Everyone was pretty excited to hit the slopes. Christina hired a guide to take her cross country skiing. The rest of us boarded a private bus to take us to the mountain before everyone else. It took a bit of time for all of us to get our skis so we broke off in smaller groups. It was an adventurous day. Catherine landed face first on a track that crossed the black run she was on and expected a black eye as a result. She later managed to download on the gondola. Everyone else got to ski down in dirt and snow and cross the creek. What the heck, we were all on rentals.

Patricia, JoAnn, Hans and Birgit almost missed the bus. In fact, the bus did leave but we came back for them when we got a call that they were at the meet place. They thought they figured out a better way down but got caught on a stopped chair for almost an hour. They too ended up crossing the creek. We were going to give them a hard time but didn't have the heart for it when we heard their story.

The views of the lake and town from almost every run was absolutely spectacular. The snow on the upper slopes was really good. Everyone had a really good day.
